i really do love a little slutty romance book 🐱

Current romance/smut book hyperfixation: The Bonds That Tie My rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ I just finished the fourth book of this series, and... wow. My rating is based on romance books in general. This series has surprised me so far, especially in regards to other elements, like character development, plot, and world building. This was my first "reverse harem" series. If you don't know the term, it means the protagonist (usually a woman) is liked and followed by multiple partners (usually men). In these books, there's a magic system where certain people are "gifted", and are typically part of a bond circle. The main protagonist is the central bond, and has 5 other gifted men doting on her. Except, it's not that easy, and there's a TON of tension, obstacles, and slow build. I LOVE slow build. The first book, for example, has almost no smut at all. But you know it's coming and that's the best part. ;) My favorite were the first two books so far. While I enjoyed the other two, I felt like the smut got a little stale after she completed her bonds. This is a common issue with me in long romance series like this, especially when it's very focused on cishet couples, same instances over and over. I've also found that the character development goes stagnant as well. Hopefully another element will be added in her next two books. I would definitely recommend it for people interested in reverse harems, group s*x (I put that mildly because so far it's just been a turn based system LOL), cool magic, and well rounded characters. The characters really made it for me, along with each of her individual relationships with all of them.

I have to confess... I don't only read smart books 🤪 Right now I'm reading a cringe-worthy, but very interesting book about academy, dragons and relationships and how it all tangles together hehe 😅 A synthesis of everything possible to interest a teenager, mass market in its absolute! The characters and the setting are so cliche, but for some reason it's impossible to put this book away and stop reading! The language is very simple and the plot twists are just so vulgar, and yet every single young adult will find their reflection in some parts of the story... Especially the juicy chapters (oh the descriptions in some scenes 🫣) It's the epiphany of dumb entertainment just for the sake of it, but it's incredibly captivating! Please tell me that you have such guilty pleasures as well, I feel so dumb 🫠 #cute #teen #babyface #babygirl #skinny
