It’s like 10 days before my birthday & my Nana hasn’t even asked what I want. I never expect anything but she normally asks a month early and I always ask for something small (no more than $50) because I never really wanted her to spend her money… but this year she hasn’t even asked. I know she knows my birthday is coming up… maybe she can’t even afford $20 but it’s really weird that the one person I could count on to help me feel like I matter… doesn’t even seem to care this year. & my Dad turned what should have been an awesome gift from him into a really negative experience where I ended up having to fork up $200 I don’t really have to complete the “present” —I hate getting older and realizing no one cares. I wish they never pretended to care. Doesn’t help that my meds aren’t covered anymore… I hope things don’t keep going downhill. I wish I could just be “normal.”
