Short story and it may help you, but probably not since most of you are significantly more successful than I am.
A year ago I competed for the first time in 4 years in jujitsu. Won my tournament and my neck had me feeling dizzy for weeks after to where I couldn't go to work. Nothing new but debilitating every time it would flare up like that. I got messages of a photographer wanting to work with me because one of his models cancelled. I found his messages on Instagram and facetimed him, 12 hours later I flew out and had an amazing time in Vegas even with my neck not allowing me to work my full time job I was still able to make money with this opportunity. I have always believed in saying yes (when you can) to opportunities.
Flash forward a year later and this same guy is giving me an opportunity to perform some cyber security for one of his companies for potentially 3 months if the board interview goes well (Photography is a hobby for him.) This opportunity just came up for me so I will be traveling Sunday-Wednesday to Sacramento to go drive down to Monterey. Anyways this will be great for my resume and reminds me to always say yes!
