53% of Australians being released from a correctional facility WILL return within two years. This has absolutely nothing to do with how ‘good’ or ‘bad’ the individual is, but has everything to do with the criminal justice system failing a population of vulnerable people. Recovery and rehabilitation doesn’t happen behind bars. Jailing is failing. 🙅🏻♀️⛓
