Hi sweeties! I’m sorry for the late night notice, this is a pretty intense night for me and I’m struggling.
Baby Sköll, my upcoming service dog, had an emergency and had to be taken to the ER vet.
Over the span of 10 minutes he suddenly started having issues with both ends, and lost a LOT of fluid.
Not in a million years would I risk my precious baby, so I threw him in the car and rushed to the vet..
He couldn’t move. He was so weak he couldn’t even lift his head. I was sickened, I thought I was gonna lose him because of how messed up he was.
They managed to get him under control with lots of fluids via under the skin and a few more things. In the back I heard him shrieking and crying in pain, and it made my heart sink.
They did not know what was wrong, BUT he started perking up a while after fluids were administered and we knew he was gonna make it through the night when he started trying to play.
He is home, but I’d like to earn some money to recuperate what I spent 💕
I skipped my disability meds and am in absolute AGONY, but I’d rather know he’s gonna be okay.
He was tested for lots, and his last test results will be known tomorrow.
Sköll has been supervised 24/7 and NOT around other dogs, so we’re not sure what’s going on.
Not out of the woods yet - he’s currently asleep in his bed and I’m really asking you to keep us in your thoughts.
Please be patient with me during this time, I’m under such immense stress.
