Planning a trip to Cappadocia?
Here's a pro tip: you absolutely MUST make a stop in Istanbul! Even if it's just for a couple of days, to feel the incredible rhythm of the city and taste the amazing food.🌆
And yes, you heard that righta fish shawarma! It's a must-eat. Tender, juicy, with a light smoky flavor... Absolutely delicious!🐟
Trusted spots for the best balık ekmek (that's what it's called in Turkish):
•The Eminönü district, by the Galata Bridge. Dozens of kitchen boats are moored right by the water, and the smell is absolutely incredible. You grab a sandwich with grilled fish, salad, and lemon, head to the embankment—and that's it, the perfect gastronomic moment. The most authentic experience!•
The Karaköy district. There are lots of cool modern cafes there, but they haven't forgotten about street food either. You can find a more hipster version, but just as tasty.
The Beşiktaş district. There are famous places like Baba Fishthere's always a line, but it moves fast and it's totally worth it.
After a sandwich like that and a walk along the Bosphorus, you feel like you can move mountains!
