This is my new home. The bright beginnings of a farm in Oregon with curious, radiant and gentile humans that I’m lucky to call family.
I can’t wait to learn, create and bloom with the land and animals here. Ernie is going to be an ideal farm dog and life is going to be so so different. I’m overwhelmed, in every direction. I think I’ve cried every day this month. I’m happy and sad, nervous and confident. It’s all a lot but change often is. Leaving Los Angeles, a place I’ve called home for over a decade is surely painful and foreign but I’ve been ready for this change for a long time. I’m going back to my roots, living with the land instead of just on it, slowing down, creating and benefiting from the joy of community and so much more. So much I could never predict.
It doesn’t feel real yet. I’m not sure when it will. My mind and body ache with growing pains. But bliss is here, you feel it within seconds of stepping onto the earth. It’s a magic unrealistically real. It is home. I can’t wait for you to visit. 🤍
