I wasn’t expecting to see anybody when I stepped out to run errands… just planned to grab a few things and come right back. But when I opened my door, the unit across the hall was wide open, and there he was.
Tank top. Sweat glistening. Tools in hand. Sexy as hell. He was focused on whatever he was fixing but as soon as my door opened his eyes immediately locked with mine… He didn’t smile, didn’t say anything. Just looked.
He never broke his gaze. I could feel his eyes follow me until I was out of sight. And there was something in that look that stuck with me all the way down the stairs.
There was also something familiar about him. I couldn’t place it at first, but it bugged me the whole time I was out. Like I’d seen him before…
When I got back, there was a note taped to my door. No name. Just: “The door across the hall will be unlocked tonight. Come through.”
Curiosity won. I waited a bit, then crossed the hall. Quiet. Dim light inside. I stepped in… and that’s when it clicked. I had seen him before, on the other side of my gloryhole… several times. I never saw his face then… but seeing what he was working with now? No doubt. It was Python.
And just before he left, still a little sweaty, still sexy as hell, he looked back at me and said—
“Nice seeing you on the other side this time. We’ve got to do this more.”
